FOR YOUR TRAVELS: LUGGAGE MADE IN ITALY
FOR YOUR STYLE: SIR ALISTAIR RAI SCARVES AND TOLANI SCARVES
AND FOR YOUR ARM: CELEBRITY HANDBAGS MADE IN BALI, INDONESIA

While the Sex in the City franchise increased the awareness of couture fashion and designer shoes like Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blanik and Christian Louboutin, the movie adaption of Eat Pray Love has put the spotlight on Indian Designers.
Eat Pray Love is about the author Elizabeth Gilbert's journey to self love and acceptance while traveling to Italy, India and Indonesia but it is the Indian inspired clothing showcased in the movie that is getting the most buzz.
Kiran Rai, the Creative Director of Sir Alistair Rai and Satya Rai started with T-shirts and now has two lifestyle brands. She is Indian by heritage but was born in England and schooled in Switzerland. Her design inspirations range from her traditional Indian upbringing to her travels across the world including Goa.
Kiran Rai's clothes and accessories are more about decorating a woman rather than exploiting her shape. Her clothes tend to be drapey and sensual rather than being skin tight and overtly sexual.

She spent the next year traveling around the world. She spent four months in Italy, eating and enjoying life (Eat). She spent four months in India, finding her spirituality (Pray).
